Shibboleth: Some Call It Fiction 001.a
• Some Call It Fiction 001.a text preview:
"Billionaires throwing fits on social media. Directed energy weapons and the CIA cover ups, disinformation campaigns, and fake Reddit posts built on misdirection. Whistleblowers mad because their books aren't selling. Breathing alleyways and lintels with heartbeats.
The truth, friends, is there are no conspiracy theories. It’s all true somewhere or another.
Remember, government agencies can’t be your friend or advocate. Imagine. They can’t be on the “side of good” or “lean” that way, even. There is no long arc of justice, not while the Acronyms reign. Once any group of people give themselves an acronym they end up only talking with their teeth and knuckles.
A lot has happened since the last issue of Shibboleth hit the dead drops.”
Download now to wade into the weird world of Shibboleth.
---
An underground publication dating back to indeterminate pasts, Shibboleth gathers strange truths, the unknown, and the expertly confabulated. Edited by CryptKid from behind the scenes, a faceless gatherer of intel and gossip, Shibboleth has existed and will exist in many forms.
You will read of strange visions, spacetime anomalies that seem familiar but hauntingly deceptive, and even stories straight from your daily lives that carry more than a hint of mystery. These tales will be accompanied by shocking images to brand your brains and hearts.
Some Call It Fiction (SCIF) issue #001.a is two pages. It is available here on AustinRWilson.com in digital resolution only, but print resolution for those who wish to fold an actual page and carry it around is available through Patreon, at the Producer tier. The print resolution file is ONLY available through Patreon subscriptions, though for this edition CryptKid has made a limited number available to others for promotional purposes.
See ya’ in September.
SUSPECT EVERYTHING.
(Hey, it’s me, Austin. I will briefly break “kayfabe” here to say that all issues of SCIF are and will only ever be written by me in their entirety. No words have been or ever will be generated using LLMs or “A.I.” in any fashion. Similarly, no “A.I.” of any kind will ever be employed to create the images. If you see an image either I drew it, such as the image of “The Williams” in this issue, or an actual human artist I commissioned drew it, such as “The Tyrant Lord” by Luca Vassallo, and the grey alien by “Darby,” which was drawn in real life by my wife, Andrea Atwood. Any photographs used will be found on sites such as Pexels, sources cited. In this case, I applied a “print” filter using Procreate to the fish image for the “Fish Cancer” story on page two. Any questions, hit me up. Enjoy, and thank you so much for supporting my work!)
